Using the ONESOURCE Excel Add-in template
If you have a license to use ONESOURCE Excel Add-in, you can link the cells in Excel workbooks that contain your data to fields in the add-in and import your data directly into ONESOURCE Uncertain Tax Positions. However, if you don't want to link cells in your own workbooks, you can download a pre-mapped template, populate it with your data and import it directly into ONESOURCE Uncertain Tax Positions. The template you download contains a Manage Settlements tab.
To download the ONESOURCE Excel Add-in template:
1. | In ONESOURCE Uncertain Tax Positions My UTP page, choose Excel Add-in/Add-in template. You can select Open or Save the template. |
2. | Save the template to a location on your PC. |
To use the ONESOURCE Excel Add-in template:
1. | Open the template you downloaded in Excel Professional. |
2. | Display the Add-Ins tab in the Excel ribbon. |
3. | From the ONESOURCE menu in the Menu Commands box, choose View Source Pane. The XML Source pane appears. |
4. | In the XML Source pane, choose the mapping that you want to work with from the XML maps in this workbook list. |
5. | Click fields in the XML Source pane to highlight their linked cells in the template. Enter the data you want to import for a tested party segment or legal entity. Be sure to enter data for the required fields, which have starred icons in the XML Source pane. |
6. | Validate your the data you've entered. |
7. | Send your data to ONESOURCE Uncertain Tax Positions. |
